Our CEREC machine employs state-of-the-art technology to produce custom crowns directly in our office. Say goodbye to waiting weeks for a lab to create your restoration or dealing with uncomfortable and unreliable temporary crowns. With our service, you can receive a beautiful, durable crown in just one visit.
Here’s how it works: We prepare your tooth, remove any decay or damage, and shape it to accommodate the new crown. Next, we take digital impressions with an intraoral scanner, capturing detailed images of your tooth. These images are sent to a computer, where specialized design software helps us create a custom crown. The CEREC milling machine then uses this information to craft your crown precisely.
Instead of traditional molds, we capture detailed 3D images of your tooth with a digital camera. These digital impressions are then used to design your crown using computer-aided design (CAD) software. We adjust the digital model to make sure your crown fits perfectly. Once the design is ready, we send the impressions to the in-office milling machine. The CEREC machine then carves your crown from high-quality ceramic with precision, ensuring it looks and fits like a natural tooth. When your crown is finished, we’ll assess the fit, make any required adjustments, and securely bond it to your tooth.
Missing Teeth? Replace Them in a Single Day With Mini Dental Implants
We can easily place crowns over damaged teeth, but what if you need a tooth replaced? Does this extend the treatment process? Fortunately, with mini dental implants, it doesn’t have to. But how is it possible for us to place mini dental implants in a single appointment?
Mini implants differ significantly from conventional ones. For one, they’re much smaller. Traditional implants are around 5 millimeters in diameter, and mini dental implants measure less than 3 millimeters. Conventional dental implants also consist of multiple parts: a titanium post inserted into the jawbone, an abutment attached to the post, and the crown placed on top. These implants require multiple phases over a series of visits.
On the other hand, mini implants feature a simpler design that makes the process much simpler. A mini implant is a narrow titanium post with a ball-shaped top extending above the gums. Its simple design allows us to place the implant with a minimally invasive process. We can minimize bleeding by creating a tiny opening in the gums, eliminating the need for incisions and stitches.
Through their “immediate loading” capability, mini implants enable eligible patients to have same-day teeth. Unlike traditional implants, mini implants are stable right after we place them in the jaw. Coupled with our CEREC technology, we can transform smiles the same day the implant is placed.
